Two Rutherford County teams are in the state's final eight in Class Triple-A baseball for the second year in a row. In fact, Stewarts Creek is the only team returning that played in last year's Spring Fling Triple-A field.

The Red Hawks will play their games at the Oakland site, where last year they took runner-up Arlington to the bracket championship. They drew Germantown Houston out of the Memphis area. Game time is set for 6:30pm.

The Blackman Blaze will play in the Siegel bracket this year. Coach Justin Entrekin (in-tra-KIN) believes his team will be ready to play Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett Tuesday night at 6:30pm...

It was Siegel and Stewarts Creek that were in the field of eight last season, with the Stars coming through the losers bracket to take the championship game over Arlington.

Central Magnet made it to the state baseball tournament in Class-Double-A for the fifth straight season. The Tigers will take on Pigeon Forge at 6:30pm in the Smyrna bracket.

It is a double elimination tournament, so all teams will be guaranteed at least two games.

Jon Dinkins and Bryan Barrett will be covering the games this week, covering as many games as possible. Their first broadcast will be Tuesday night at 6:20pm for the Blackman vs. Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett game. They'll have scores and reports from Stewarts Creek vs. Houston and Central Magnet vs. Pigeon Forge games.
