The first ever coach of the Rockvale High School Rockets will be a familiar face to Rutherford County hoops fans. Lindy King will become the first coach, leaving Stewarts Creek.
She's been the coach there since being named the replacement for Jessica Jackson, who went to Blackman in 2015.
The state champion coach led the Lady Red Hawks to the state tournament in 2017, just two years after coaching Martin Luther King High in Nashville to a Class AA state title.
Rockvale High School will open in August and play in the competitive District 7AAA in prep basketball.
